Job Description

Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a well-established San Diego-based law firm seeking a California-licensed Civil Litigation Attorney to support its growing business litigation practice. With approximately 24 attorneys and a longstanding reputation in the Southern California legal community, the firm offers a collaborative and supportive culture, direct access to experienced partners, and exposure to sophisticated business litigation matters. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with 3-6 years of litigation experience who enjoy substantive case work, including discovery, law and motion practice, and deposition preparation. The position is anticipated to last approximately six months, with the potential to transition into a permanent opportunity based on performance and business needs.

Compensation: $50-$70/hour

Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week

Location: Hybrid schedule with flexibility. Candidates seeking a primarily remote arrangement will be considered, though occasional in-office attendance may be required based on business and client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support business and civil litigation matters through all phases of the litigation process
  • Draft motions, pleadings, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents
  • Manage and respond to written discovery, including analysis of complex case materials
  • Prepare for and support depositions, including witness preparation and deposition summaries
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis to litigation teams
  • Collaborate with partners and attorneys to advance litigation strategy and meet case deadlines

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar license in good standing
  • 3-6 years of civil litigation experience preferred
  • Significant experience with civil discovery, law and motion practice, and deposition-related work
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills
